Ontario Provincial Police had some Sunday fun with a pun-filled tweet describing the “piggyback” rescue of a lost pig, who was later adopted and named “Chuck Boar-is.”

“Not just hogwash,” the OPP tweeted early Sunday. “This morning on Highway 401 by Maitland, Grenville OPP officers went into rescue mode to save this little guy before a ham-bulance was needed…
“He couldn’t say where he came from, must have ham-nesia. Gave him a piggyback ride to the office while we find home.”
The OPP invited others to share their own piggy puns and signed off with, “Never a boar-ing day in the OPP. And now we’re done…”
The tweet later posted an update with a photo of the temporary foster “Holmes family while we look for a permanent home.”
