As the preparations for the European Premier League have started and the transfer window has opened, the question being asked is, which club will end up spending the most on players- Manchester City, Manchester United- Liverpool, Arsenal for New Castle? Or will another club beat all of them on spending?
Liverpool made the moves earliest and sign a GBP 36 million deal with Brighton player Alexis Mac Allister. Similarly, Chelsea signed Christopher Nkunku for GBP 52 million. On the other hand Chelsea player Kai Havertz signed Arsenal for GBP 60 million.
Tottenham Hotspur have taken Pedro Porro and Dejan Kuluseveski on loan, besides taking James Maddison from Leicester City. Liverpool have also acquired Dominik Szoboszlai. Arsenal are also trying to sign Declan Rice. The transfer window will close on September 1 and there is enough time left for deals, but some clubs have come near to the upper cap for spending on players.
Many clubs have spent enough in the opening week of the preseason itself. Dominik Szoboszlai and Kai Havertz have been the most expensive player so far with deals worth GBP 60 million each.
