Droz’s accident occurred just days after Owen Hart’s untimely death. A botched powerbomb ruined the entire career of the then-upcoming wrestler and left him paralyzed from his neck down. However, he blamed nothing on his opponent for the botched move.
Recently, Droz’s family announced a scholarship for upcoming athletes at the former’s alma mater, Oakcrest High School. Their poster read, “In lieu of flowers or other donations, the Drozdov family is accepting donations to the Darren Drozdov Scholarship Fund.”
