Impressively, Chiefs have managed consecutive 1-0 wins against Moroka Swallows and Polokwane City respectively as coach Cavin Johnson continues in his mission to steady the Chiefs ship.
Amakhosi will be hoping to make it three wins from three as they next face Richards Bay, but the Siya crew has noticed a few aspects inside the club’s preparations.

Dolly, Sithebe, Du Preez On the Mend
Johnson eluded that Dolly, who was sporting his signature hairstyle from his Ajax Cape Town days, was on the mend and would likely be available for their clash against the KZN outfit. Meanwhile, Siyethemba Sithebe, who is recovering from an injury of his own, also took part in training. Ashley Du Preez, who has been a notable absentee for Chiefs is on his way to recovery.

With no Khune in sight, Lungile ‘Nzori’ Nkosi continues to train with the senior team alongside Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen and Bontle Molefe.

No Itumeleng Khune, For Now
While he remains fully part of the team, Chiefs’ former captain Ituemeleng Khune is nowhere in sight as he continues his programme away from club activities. The 36-year-old is currently suspended by the club after he was found guilty of breaching club rules and no specific date has been set for his return.
The kids continue to work
They are yet to feature for Chiefs this season but the club’s young graduates continue to train with the first team. The likes of Wandile Duba and Samkelo Zwane, who have been used sparingly by both Ntseki and Johnson still await their chance in the first team.
Fleurs Playing Catch Up
Luke Fleurs, after being snapped up by the club in October continues to play catch up in terms of his fitness. The injury to Thatayaone Ditlhokwe could be a blessing in disguise for Fleurs, who could slot in alongside Given Msimango, though he continues to train with the club.
