The caretaker government of Pakistan has decided not to privatize Pakistan Steel Mills, according to reports.
The revised list for privatization now includes 26 entities, with a focus on the energy sector, such as power plants like Balloki and Guddu, along with 10 electricity distribution companies.
Notably, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the only entity from the aviation sector on the list.
The exclusion of Pakistan Steel Mills and the emphasis on strategic entities in the privatization plan reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to improve and streamline the country’s economic situation.
