A manhunt is on for the suspect in the shooting of four men in the heart of Scarborough on Saturday night.
Reports indicate two men reportedly had a dispute near the Scarborough port, when one left the scene and returned armed with a gun.
Police reports state that, around 7.26 p.m. on Saturday, in the vicinity of Milford Road and Dutch Fort Road, Scarborough, a man dressed in Muslim wear, and armed with a firearm, approached a group gathered, pointed a gun at them and fired several shots.
When the smoke cleared, four people had been shot.
The shooting took place in full view of other members of the public.
Eyewitnesses told the Express approximately eight shots were heard.
Even a man on crutches was seen fleeing the area.
The injured include Nkosi Noray of John Dial, who was shot about his body; Sooklal Bagarloo of Tunapuna and Canaan, Tobago, shot in his left hand; Reynold Alleyne, aka “Butcher”, of Calder Hall was shot in his finger; and Walda Andrews of Gardenside Street, Scarborough, sustained gunshot wounds to his right foot.
All were rushed to the Scarborough General Hospital where they underwent emergency treatment.
Police told the Express one man was held at the scene.
