Honor, a renowned smartphone brand, has officially launched the Honor X50 and X50i, two new additions to its smartphone lineup. Let’s take a look.
Honor X50: A Powerful Device with High-End Features
The Honor X50 boasts a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,652 pixels and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. At the top of the display, there is a centered punch-hole cutout that houses an 8MP front-facing camera.
On the rear, the Honor X50 features an impressive 108MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.75, accompanied by a 2MP depth module. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and is available in configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage, providing ample space for apps, media, and files.
The device comes with a sizable 5,800 mAh battery that supports rapid 33W charging, allowing for prolonged usage without the need for frequent recharges. It operates on MagicOS 7.1, which is based on Android 13.
Additionally, the smartphone is IP53-rated, making it resistant to water and dust and ensuring durability and protection. It is available in a range of colors including black, blue, orange, and gradient options.
In terms of pricing, the Honor X50 starts at CNY 1,399 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The higher-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 1,999. Open sales for the Honor X50 in China will commence on July 14.
Honor X50i: A Balanced Offering with Enhanced Affordability
The Honor X50i is a slightly toned-down version compared to the X50, offering an excellent balance between affordability and performance. It features a flat 6.7-inch LTPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,388 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. While it doesn’t provide the same level of visual fluidity as the X50’s AMOLED display, it still offers a pleasing viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Honor X50i is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, ensuring smooth operation and decent performance. It comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, providing sufficient space for apps, photos, and videos.
In the camera department, the Honor X50i is equipped with a dual-camera configuration, consisting of a 100MP main camera and a 2MP depth lens.
Similar to the X50, the Honor X50i runs on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13, but it comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports a 33W fast-charging capability.
The Honor X50i comes in black, blue, pink, and gradient colors, offering a variety of options to suit individual preferences.
The pricing for the Honor X50i starts at CNY 1,379 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 1,679.
