Recent leaks have suggested notable improvements for the Galaxy Z Flip6, especially in its processing unit, transitioning from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Galaxy Z Flip5 to the more advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, thus featuring a powerful octa-core CPU for efficient and responsive multitasking.
In addition to the processor upgrade, the Galaxy Z Flip5 predecessor provides 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip6 is set to offer expanded storage options, ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB, coupled with 12 GB RAM.
The Flip6 display is expected to showcase an AMOLED 2X screen with HDR 10+ support and an impressive maximum brightness of 1800 nits. Speculation hints at the Galaxy Z Flip6 featuring the largest display size, measuring 3.9 inches, which is an increase of half an inch over the Galaxy Z Flip5.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 is also set to feature a significant camera improvement, with a main sensor boasting 50 MP, which is a substantial leap from the 12 MP camera found in the Galaxy Z Flip5. If this enhancement makes its way into the final version of the device, it will mark a long-anticipated upgrade for Samsung’s most popular foldable.
With all the potential improvements in features of the Galaxy Z Flip6, the new flagship phone should easily outshine its predecessor the Galaxy Z Flip5, which is currently available on Amazon for $874. However, the true measure of success will depend on the pricing strategy adopted by Samsung for the Galaxy Z Flip6.
