Gatineau police have requested public assistance in locating a 21-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since Friday morning.
A news release on Saturday afternoon said police and family members were worried about Ariel Batebisani’s safety and wanted to confirm his well-being.

Batebisani had last been seen near 8 a.m. on Friday at Collège Universel on Saint-Joseph Boulevard in the Hull sector, the release said.

He was described as a Black man standing five feet nine inches (1.8 metres) tall and weighing 175 pounds (79 kilograms), with short black hair and dark brown eyes.
When last seen, Batebisani was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and Jordan-brand basketball shoes, and he was carrying a black knapsack.
He might be using taxis, the release added.
Anyone with information about Batebisani’s whereabouts was asked to contact the Gatineau Police Service at 819-246-0222.
