Lucknow’s CCSI Airport reached a milestone with the unveiling of its new passenger terminal (T3), first announced in 2018 by Suresh Prabhu, the former Minister of Civil Aviation. Spanning a vast area of 1,11,367 square metres, the terminal includes a spacious basement and a connecting corridor to T2. It’s designed to handle over 13 million passengers annually, signifying a significant step forward in the city’s infrastructure development.
The T3 Terminal, constructed at an estimated cost of ₹1,383 crore, boasts modern amenities such as 75 check-in counters, 18 kiosks, 30 lifts, and five escalators, facilitating seamless passenger movement. Designed by Pascal and Watson, the terminal’s interiors reflect the cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh, enhancing its ambiance with elegance and sophistication.

Additionally, the terminal complex includes a multi-storey parking facility for 1,500 vehicles and over 5 km of stormwater drainages along the runway, improving operational efficiency and passenger convenience. Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL) manages the airport, offering various services like self-check-in kiosks, prayer rooms, and duty-free shops, catering to the diverse needs of travellers.
