ApeFest 2023: NFTs Are So Back!
The BAYC took to Twitter to share the news, revealing that ApeFest will be going global this year. The much-anticipated event is scheduled to take place in Hong Kong from November 3rd to 5th, 2023. Accompanying the announcement was an intriguing image of Curtis, the iconic Bored Ape Mascot. In the announcement, he navigates his way through a refrigerator while exploring the ambiance. Following the reveal, BAYC’s Co-Founder Garga playfully tweeted, “Seems like the fridge at the club acting up again. Stoked for the next adventure.”
Distinct from previous Ape Fests, this year’s gathering focuses on fostering connections among participants. The BAYC expressed its intention to create an extraordinary and lively atmosphere that resembles an uninhibited family reunion. This means AF2023 shifts from its conventional music festival ways. In a statement on the ApeFest website, the club mentioned, “We’re doing things a little differently this year, with lots of ways to catch up with old frens and make new ones.”
While further details about Ape Fest 2023 are yet to be disclosed, the BAYC plans to provide more information in the near future and open a registration window for interested individuals. As a precautionary measure, the club advises Apes to refrain from making travel arrangements until they have secured their ApeFest tickets. With limited availability, the BAYC cannot guarantee tickets for all participants. To ensure a fair distribution, tickets will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
