Solve the Murder in Posthumous Investigation
Mother Gaia Studio has revealed the launch window for their upcoming title The Posthumous Investigation for the first time. It is coming out on PC via Steam in Q4 2024. The exact release date will be announced sometime later. Furthermore, the game will be showcased at this year’s LudoNarraCon as well.
Additionally, a playable demo is already out on the platform. Dive right into this noir-inspired murder mystery and get a first-hand experience before its official release.
The Posthumous Investigation is a detective adventure game that takes place in a noir-inspired 1937 Rio de Janeiro. It offers a unique blend of murder mystery, point-and-click puzzles, and time-loop mechanics with visual novel storytelling.
The game invites you, the detective to to investigate the mysterious death of Brás Cubas. The aristocrat hired you himself to solve his own death. At the same time, you’ll remain stuck in a time loop until you discover the truth. Along the way, you will discover and interrogate eccentric suspects inspired by the literary works of the great Brazilian novelist, Machado de Assis.
