So let’s revisit Bracket’s second album titled ‘Cupid Stories’.
The year of its release (2011) saw so many strong contenders like
P-Square’s The Invasion, Wizkid’s Superstar, Dare Art Alade’s Double Dare, Naeto C’s Super Season C.
The boys were out in full force.
However, Bracket’s Cupid Stories held its own on the charts.
The R&B music duo delved deeper into party music on the album unlike before.
Surprisingly, they successfully made the transition.
The 14-track album boasted an impressive lineup of featured artists.
“Looking at you” is still a personal favourite, it’s how the r&b duo were crooning on a dance track. Lol.
“Girl” ft Wizkid was a street banger.
“Me and you” captured many hearts and is arguably the strongest track off the album.
Dekumzy delivered on the naughty dance track “Muah Muah”.
The collaboration between Bracket and 2face on the song “Remember” was a perfect match. The track was brimming with beautiful harmonies that showcased the artists’ outstanding vocal abilities.
So yes, Cupid Stories album did its big one.
With 5 solid hits, which is a big deal for any artiste.
Other worthy mentions are “Stagger” ft MI and “Champion” ft Banky W.
You’ve got to love Bracket!
