A six-year-old boy has died after falling from a building in east London.
Emergency services were called at 06:00 BST to New City Road in Plaistow to reports someone had “fallen from height”. A child died at the scene.
The boy’s family has been told and is being supported by specialist officers, the Metropolitan Police says. The death is being treated as unexplained.
No arrests have been made and the Met said it was working to “establish the full circumstances”.
“Our thoughts are with the child’s family at this time,” a spokesperson added.
