Police launch a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in an east Belfast house
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in her 30s in east Belfast.
Police said they received a report of the death of a woman at a house in the Madrid Street area shortly before 16:25 BST on Wednesday.
Her body was found in a bedroom with serious injuries to her head.
Another woman in her 40s and two men, both in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They remain in custody.
A forensics team has arrived at the east Belfast property to conduct further examinations of the scene.
Police are still at the scene on Thursday morning as enquiries continue.
