Finally it’s official, six months after its limited release it seems Toho’s “Godzilla Minus One” is finally coming home – and sooner than you think.
In the United States, the title will be available on Netflix and to purchase on VOD outlets like Apple, Amazon, Google and other digital storefronts tomorrow – Saturday June 1st.
Internationally, the film’s rollout has begun with the film already available on Netflix in Australia this morning and likely multiple other countries in the coming hours.
The digital version of Godzilla Minus One is available in Japanese with English subtitles. The release also includes English, Italian, French and Spanish dubs.
The black-and-white version that screened in theaters (“Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color”) won’t be on Netflix until later in the Summer. However, it will be available through U.S. VOD platforms from June 1st and is being treated as a separate release from the color version.
The film was already released on Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD formats in Japan on May 1st with Amazon Prime handling its streaming release. No word on when the film will get a physical media release outside Japan as yet.
