Walsh took on Vasconselos in his second appearance in MMA at the Full Contract Contender 38 event, as he looked to cement his flyweight credentials.

The bout was over three rounds, but ‘The Fly Catcher’ burst out the traps and went looking for his rival early on.
In remarkable footage, Walsh can be seen in the ascendancy with his rival sprawled on the ground.
The Liverpudlian hammered away at the head of Vasconselos who was simply unable to respond and was taking serious damage.
After a fifth or sixth shot, it was clear the fighter was knocked out but Walsh continued to hammer the face of his unconscious opponent.
After landing a total of 14 shots on the clip including with his rival out cold, the referee stopped the fight after waiting too long and handing serious punishment to the Brazilian.
Fans were stunned by the official’s decision, and fumed on social media with one writing: “14 Straight punches? What on earth?”
Another agreed: “Wtf he waiting for? The guy to be dead?”
Some called for punishment, with one suggesting: “That ref should be nowhere near a fight again.”

Someone else added: “Whoa, that was intense! Totally agree, the ref should’ve stepped in sooner. Hope both fighters are okay. What a night!”

It was a dangerous spectacle to watch for fans, who will not want to see a fighter needlessly take this much damage.
The future is bright for Walsh who will be looking to continue his unbeaten trajectory moving forwards.
