re: Reader letter: Ice rink ‘another grandiose plan’ to waste Windsor tax dollars (June 14)
I read with interest Elaine Weeks’ letter concerning the now-approved Windsor (and LaSalle) approach to global warming — build an outdoor ice rink.
Maybe if you chill it enough, it will cool our planet.
Whether it’s this, or adding to natural gas generation (instead of battery storage) or rejecting the federal government’s money to build badly-needed fourplexes, Windsor council and city administration have made decisions recently that are expedient, but big-time losers in the long-run.
Every decision they make should be pro-active and take the warming climate into consideration. And the taxpayer’s wallet.
Anyone want a slightly used snow-shovel?
