As Keir Starmer took to the podium for his first official speech as Prime Minister, all eyes were on his wife Victoria, who looked stunning in a Labour red midi dress. The couple then walked arm in arm-into number 10, with Victoria’s dress stealing the show.
Victoria was seen wearing a gorgeous split-shoulder dress from fashion brand ME+EM. The mother of two chose the retailer’s Contrast Stitch Midi Dress, which is priced at £275. The little red dress (LRD) has become increasingly popular, with style icons like Victoria Starmer and Kate Middleton often seen sporting the vibrant colour. Red symbolises strength, courage and power, so it’s no surprise that we’ve seen the Princess Of Wales wear this striking shade on significant occasions, such as in her 40th birthday portrait.

According to British Vogue, red is set to be one of the major colours for SS24. The fashion magazine reported: “Fashion’s obsession with bright red has been impossible to ignore in recent seasons, seen on the runway but also the red carpet. Spring/summer 2024 brought a noticeable shift towards deeper and more opulent versions of the shade.”
So, whether you’re into politics or not, it seems there’s no escaping this colour trend this summer, reports the Mirror.
