Juventus have signed Switzerland forward Alisha Lehmann from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old, who has agreed a three-year contract, scored 14 goals in 74 appearances in three seasons at Villa and was named supporters’ player of the year in 2021-22.
“I’m overjoyed,” she said. “Juve has a great history – so much so that I have to be honest: I was a bit nervous when I got out of my car for my medical check-up and saw so many fans. But everything is great.”
Lehmann began her career with BSC YB Frauen in Switzerland before going on to play for West Ham and Everton in the Women’s Super League (WSL).
She is the second WSL player to join Juventus this week after Sweden midfielder Hanna Bennison left Everton.
Lehmann’s partner Douglas Luiz also moved to Juventus from Villa last week.
“For Douglas and me to be together in the same club is a dream,” Lehmann said.
“We have often played in different cities, so being able to have these great adventures in the same place is something wonderful.”
