This August, the national Shop Small movement, initiated by American Express, introduces exciting new incentives to support and celebrate small businesses.
Shop Small, designed to fuel enthusiasm for small enterprises and underscore their vital role in the economy and communities, now offers even more reasons for small businesses to embrace American Express.
From August 1 to 31, 2024, small businesses that accept American Express can enter to win one of ten $10,000 Shop Small Business Grants. Every American Express transaction processed during this period automatically enters the merchant into the draw, increasing their chances with each transaction.
In addition, American Express Card Members can earn five bonus points per dollar spent at participating businesses from August 1 to 4, 2024, up to a maximum of 1,000 bonus points.
This initiative is part of American Express’s ongoing commitment to support small businesses throughout the year. Small business owners interested in joining the movement can contact American Express at 1300 363 614.
Eligible merchants are automatically enrolled in the promotion, with each transaction acting as an entry. Winners of the $10,000 grants will be notified by November 1, 2024, with their names published by November 20, 2024.

How to Enter
Eligible small businesses that accept American Express and process transactions during the promotion period are automatically entered. Each transaction counts as one entry, and more transactions increase the chances of winning.
Winner Selection and Notification
The draw will take place on October 22, 2024, and winners will be notified by November 1, 2024. Winners must claim their prizes by November 15, 2024. Any unclaimed prizes will be redrawn on November 18, 2024.
