Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants unveils Kimpton BEM Budapest, its first property in the Hungarian capital which marks the expansion of the brand in Eastern Europe.
Kimpton BEM Budapest is nestled along the banks of the Danube River and takes place in a historic 19th century mansion. The property now features 127 rooms, 11 of which are suites, and 3 distinct dining venues, including a chef-driven signature restaurant, a verdant rooftop bar and sky-high garden, and an all-day lobby-level bar and restaurant.
The boutique luxury hotel is also home to an array of venues fit for both large and intimate events, including the Turul Chamber, Golden Stag Corner, M.W. Salon, and the grand BEM Ballroom, the latter of which can accommodate up to 120 guests. Additionally, the hotel features a dedicated wellness area complete with a 24/7 fitness centre, hot tub, and steam room.
Regarding the design, the hotel was conceived by the renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, known internationally for his unconventional and imaginative design philosophy. The property’s design borrows from Budapest’s folklore and venergy, melding whimsical accents with historical elements. Patterns throughout the hotel pay homage to unique Hungarian mythological creatures and native flora.
We are thrilled to be part of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ first venture in Hungary’s capital! Kimpton BEM Budapest blends elegance and urban energy, just steps away from the stunning Danube River and Budapest’s top attractions. With its stylish yet playful vibe, Kimpton BEM Budapest offers a unique glimpse into the cultural crossroads of East and West.
