Jake Paul has long claimed that he’ll fight under MMA rules someday. Could it be against Mike Perry?
Paul and Perry squared off under boxing rules this past Saturday and it was Paul who left the ring with an emphatic victory after defeating Perry via knockout in the sixth round. The pre- and post-fight talk between the two has vacillated from friendly to antagonistic depending on occasion, but for now they seem to be at peace.
On Thursday, Paul tweeted that he had a productive talk with Perry and he hinted at a possible fight under MMA rules in the PFL at some point in the future.
Chopped it up with Mike Perry last night. What a stand up dude. More confidence than most of these fighters. We agreed to run it in PFL when the time is right

“Chopped it up with Mike Perry last night,” Paul wrote. “What a stand-up dude. More confidence than most of these fighters. We agreed to run it in PFL when the time is right.”
Perry responded, “Appreciate ya dude, respect.”
Paul announced that he had signed with the PFL in January 2023, but is yet to compete for the promotion as he continues to focus on his boxing career. The 27-year-old has rattled off four straight wins after dropping a disappointing split decision to rival Tommy Fury.
It’s unlikely that Paul faces the BKFC star again under any rule set anytime soon, as he has set his sights on bigger fish, including UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Though Paul probably won’t book that fight either, it’s clear that he’s moved on from Perry for now.
That said, Paul added in a subsequent tweet that he’s open to competing in the future for Perry’s recently founded Dirty Boxing Championship organization:
If I’m stepping out of boxing, it’s going to be PFL. After that we can do Dirty Boxing @PlatinumPerry
