The official website for the Nanatsu no Taizai: Mokushiroku no Yonkishi (The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse) television anime adaptation announced three supporting cast members on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 8 at 4:30 p.m. on TBS’ 28 stations.
Toshiyuki Morikawa (Made in Abyss) and Rikiya Koyama (Bungou Stray Dogs) are joining the cast as Ironside and Pellegarde, respectively. Sachi Kokuryu (Mob Psycho 100) is reprising her role as Arthur.
Maki Kodaira (Pokemon (2019)) is directing the anime at Telecom Animation Film. Shigeru Murakoshi (Yuusha, Yamemasu) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Youichi Takada (Blue Thermal chief animation director) is designing the characters and Kohta Yamamoto (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu) is composing the music.
The anime adapts Nakaba Suzuki’s sequel to the Nanatsu no Taizai manga series which began in January 2021 on the Weekly Shounen Magazine. Kodansha will ship the 13th volume on August 17.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in February 2021 and released the eighth volume on May 16, with the ninth volume scheduled to go on sale on August 8.
