Simone Biles is set to return to action.
The seven-time Olympic gymnastics medalist is expected to compete for her club, World Champions, in all four events at the U.S. Classic in Chicago on Saturday, Aug. 5.
The last time Biles took to the mats was at the pandemic-delayed 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. Biles ultimately withdrew from the competition to prioritize her mental health — much like Naomi Osaka did at the French Open and Wimbledon the same year.
The 26-year-old be competing against fellow U.S. Olympic medalists Suni Lee, Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles, among others, at this weekend’s meet.
Carey took gold in Tokyo on the floor exercise, while Lee took gold in the all-around competition, as well as silver in the team competition and bronze on the uneven bars, and Chiles took silver in the team event.
