Activision
Activision has announced a November 10th release date and revealed the logo for this year’s entry in the “Call of Duty” franchise – namely “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III”.
The news comes after months of leaks and speculation regarding the next entry in the franchise. Activision has officially kept quiet about the new entry until now.
The date puts it in the regular early-November release window for COD titles. Whilst last year’s ‘Modern Warfare II’ had a heavily green color scheme, the new one is all about red going by the teaser trailer.
The date news comes as ‘Modern Warfare II’ reinvigorated the franchise, breaking several records such as the fastest “Call of Duty” game to generate US$1 billion in revenue. The film also received generally favorable reviews from critics.
Prior leaks suggest the big reveal of the game, with a lot more details and a proper trailer, could come as early as next Thursday so we’ll find out more then.
The title, the overall 20th instalment in the franchise, will be released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox formats.
