Powkiddy has now launched the RGB10 Max 3 Pro, a 5-inch gaming handheld powered by an Amlogic A311D chipset and 2 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Available from US$114.99, the RGB10 Max 3 Pro has three launch colours and should be powerful enough to emulate game libraries from the N64 and PS1 era.
Powkiddy has opened its pre-sale for the RGB10 Max 3 Pro, less than a month after initial photos of the gaming handheld surfaced online. Stylised by Powkiddy as RGB10MAX3 Pro, the RGB10 Max 3 Pro comes in beige, blue and white colour options, as shown below. Additionally, Powkiddy offers the gaming handheld on its own or with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB MicroSD cards for US$5, US$10 and US$20 surcharges, respectively.
As expected, the RGB10 Max 3 Pro has a 5-inch IPS display. According to Powkiddy, the display operates at 854 x 480 pixels and 60 Hz; other display details like peak brightness and contrast ratio are unlisted, though. The gaming handheld also relies on an Amlogic A311D SoC and 2 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, a combination that Powkiddy claims makes the RGB10 Max 3 Pro powerful enough to emulate up to fifth-generation game home consoles like the PS1 and N64.
Alternatively, Powkiddy advertises the RGB10 Max 3 Pro as being capable of emulating seventh-generation handheld game consoles, including the Nintendo DS and PSP. Elsewhere, the RGB10 Max 3 Pro has a 4,000 mAh battery with a quoted 8-hour runtime, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm jack and two speakers, all within a 183 x 84.5 x 18 mm housing. Powkiddy sells the RGB10 Max 3 Pro for US$114.99, although it claims that its price will eventually rise to US$134.99. Currently, the company hopes to begin shipping orders in mid-July.
