Inside axed MAFS star Brad Skelly’s life – from Russell Brand festival to modelling

The Married At First Sight UK husband and wife coupling Brad Skelly and Shona Manderson have been told to leave the experiment – so OK! has taken a look at his life away from TV

Married At First Sight star Brad Skelly was axed from the E4 show following his “controlling and coercive” behaviour.

It has been reported that the 27-year-old, who married Shona Manderson, has been removed from the experiment, just days after distressing scenes with the couple aired on TV.

Producers at the programme became concerned by the dad-of-one’s actions towards Shona Manderson, after he told her to “shut up. He also claimed that he “allowed” her to feel all of the emotions, leading to domestic violence charity Women’s Aid making a statement.

Here, we take a look at his life outside of the experience, from attending Russel Brand’s Community festival, to Jujitsu training, modelling and being a qualified meditation practitioner.

It appears that Married At First Sight UK wasn’t Brad’s first time searching for love on TV.

He also had a brief stint on Celebs Go Dating, where he dated Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby on the TV show back in 2016, but their romance failed to blossom into anything serious.

Brad, from Grimsby, is a model and meditation teacher. His Instagram shows that he has starred in campaigns for fashion brands including ASOS and JD Sports.

In his spare time, he is shown on his Instagram page working out in the gym, doing Jujitsu and attending Community, an event hosted by Russel and Laura Brand.

During the festival-like event, sees Russell Brand and “friends” taking part in three days of “camping, conversation on spirituality, wellness, healthy living and our environment.”

There’s also yoga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and with profits from Community said to go towards charities that help people through recovery and addiction.

Posting about the event on his Instagram page, Brad said: “My people. My community. Nothing but love.”

Brad is also father to a nine year old son named Keegan, who he shares with an ex-girlfriend. The dad-of-one’s son featured in an episode of MAFS, which aired on 25 September.

Brad shared a tribute to his son on his ninth birthday on 26 September and shared a photo of them together to his Instagram Stories.

He penned: “Happy 9th birthday to the reason I push on Keegan Skelly. You are my world son and you make me proud every single,” with a heart emoji.
