Actress Shin Hye-sun is set to amuse moviegoers with her upcoming action comedy film slated for release next week.
“Brave Citizen” revolves around a part-time high school teacher who conceals her past as a former boxer, initially turning a blind eye to injustice but eventually pursuing justice after witnessing intolerable violence and abuse of power.
“This was the first time I’ve ever done action scenes, and I found it really challenging,” she said at a press event in Seoul early early this week. “I tried my best with all my strength and energy, but I felt that there were many scenes that didn’t turn out the way I wanted, to be honest.”
But she seemed happy with the theme and messages the film tries to covey. “I think the film is like a fantasy where moviegoers feel a sense of exhilaration and a kind of excitement [as cinematic justice is done through a good-versus-evil story],” she added.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 25.
