A 2015 grad and General Amherst high school product, Williams is one of just two athletes to ever win five national championships while playing guard for the Lancers from 2011 to 2015. She capped her career with the BLG Trophy as the Canadian university female athlete of the year.

Williams is a two-time national player of the year and two-time national Final 8 MVP as well as an OUA defensive player of the year. She is second in on the Lancers’ all-time leader list in points (1,268) and steals (300), third in assists (327) and eighth in rebounds (541).

Another 2015 grad, Kennedy, who is a Massey high school product, was a dual-threat quarterback who was as dangerous with his legs as he was with his arm. He still hods the OUA record for touchdown passes with 79.

A three-time OUA all-star, Kennedy holds 13 school records that include 710 career completed passes and 482 passing yards in a single game. As well, he was an academic all-Canadian for the duration of his career was named a national Academic Top 8 athlete in 2014-15.

Pommells, who graduated in 2016, helped the Lancers to the 2016 Queen’s Cup title and led the Lances in scoring for three-straight seasons and was a time-time OUA all-star.

In 2015, Pommells was named the national player of the year and a first-team all-Canadian after being named OUA MVP while leading the country in scoring.

A 2006 graduate, Wenner competed for the Lancers in track and field from 2001-05 and helped the program win two OUA championships.

Still the co-record holder in the women’s 60-metre hurdles, Wenner holds five OUA medals along with two medals from the national university championships.

Fallenbuchl, who graduated in 1995, was a member of the fencing team from 1987-93 after beginning his Lancer career with the track and field team before an injury forced a change of sport.

Fallenbuchl helped the Lancers to three conference titles and won the George Tulley Award in 1993 as the conference’s most proficient fencer.

McGuffin was an assistant coach with the Lancers’ track and field program from 1990 to 2018. He helped coach the Lancers to 21 national championships and 40 conference titles.

Over the years, his athletes captured 17 national medals and countless conference medals. He was named the school’s Gino Fracas Award winner as coach of the year in 2000 and received an A Award for distinguished longtime service to the school in 2010.

Downes not only competed for the Lancers in track and field, but also returned to serve as an assistant coach for the program.

Now a local teacher, Downes has coached internationally for Canada at the 2020 Olympic Games, the World Athletics Championships and several other events. Athletics Canada named him the Dr. Doug Clement coach of the year winner in 2019.

Sunday’s induction ceremony is set for 2 p.m. in the Alumni Auditorium of the CAW Student Centre.
