IRISH singer Imelda May has revealed her father has been in the hospital for “over a week” with a heartwarming video.
The hitmaker took to her Instagram on Thursday night to share the news that her father has been in hospital.

She shared a video of her father Tony in the hospital bed where he was wrapped up in a blue blanket.
Imelda explained that her sister Maria had taken the video while she was visiting him.
In the video, Tony was heard saying: “Goodnight Edel, [his other daughter] you were so lucky to be with me all evening.”
The singer captioned the video saying: “My lovely Dad is in hospital over a week now.
“He’s still joking and smiling. I’ve never known anyone like him.
“He yaps all day, tells the carers how amazing they are and flirts with the nurses.
“Always sees the positive. This world is better with him in it. Our lovely Dad Tony @clabbyt (My sister @edelclabbyfoy had stayed with him all night. My sister @maria.oreilly.77 captured his messing).”
Fans and friends of Imelda flocked to her comment section to off her and her family love.
Virgin Media star Alan Hughes commented saying: “He’s Brill lots love.”
Charlie said: “A special thought for you and your Dad my dear.”
Roy wrote: “Get well soon!!”
While Olivia also commented saying: “Sending your daddy lots of love.”
Imelda’s fans recently were all left saying the same thing after she stunned in a beautiful summer dress.
The 48-year-old took to her social media to share snaps from the “busy and exciting” week she had.
The Dublin native spent her week travelling around Ireland for rehearsals, filming and events.
After her “creatively fulfilling” week she took to Instagram to fill her fans in on what she got up to.
In the first picture, she posed on the rocks in front of gorgeous blue water.
Imelda looked stunning in her post wearing a gorgeous floral maxi dress.
The floral piece was black and had a flowing cream skirt at the bottom.
It also featured mid-length sleeves with cream frilled cuffs at the end.
She paired the dress with black boots and silver jewellery.
Imelda finished off her look wearing her hair down in waves.
Fans raced to the comments to compliment Imelda on her fabulous summer frock.
Roisin commented saying: “Lovely dress Imelda.”
Sara wrote: “I love your dress. I have one in that fabric but minus the drop dead gorgeous lace.”
