Manchester City host Liverpool in the biggest game of the weekend in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon’s early kick-off.
Manchester City vs Liverpool odds
Man City are just 13/20 to win against Liverpool as the bookies are taking no chances with the Citizens extending their lead at the top of the table.
The Reds come into this away from home at 16/5 to win and 3/1 to get what would be a huge point for a draw.

Manchester City vs Liverpool preview
The biggest talking point of this game has become the injury to Erling Haaland and whether or not he’ll be back in time to face Liverpool after picking up an ankle issue on international duty.
The injury is not thought to be severe and should be back soon but it may not be in time for this huge Premier League tie.
But they still have plenty of firepower available and are likely to adopt a different formation that revolves around Julian Alvarez in the centre forward role.
Allowing Jeremy Doku and any number of other players able to play on the wing ahead of players who can play in a three of midfield like Rodri, Phil Foden and like against Chelsea, Manuel Akanji who adopted a deeplying centre defensive midfield position while dropping back to centre-back when defending.
Liverpool won 3-0 over Brentford in their last Premier League fixture, after a couple of poor results; a 1-1 draw with Luton Town and a 3-2 Europa League loss to Toulouse.
But Jurgen Klopp opted to do a big rotation in the squad for that European clash, keeping the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota on the bench.
They will all be set to star in the starting XI against Man City though as they have a huge chance of gaining three points from the league leaders and reigning champs.
Manchester City vs Liverpool betting tips
Over 2 goals, BTTS, Szoboszlai to assist, Alvarez to score – 14/1
There’s been over 2.5 goals in each of Man City’s previous six games in all competitions, including a 4-4 draw with Chelsea and a 6-1 victory over Bournemouth.
City’s 6-1 win came with Haaland up top but who somehow didn’t add a goal of his own despite his goals per game average.
But it shows they still won’t be starved of goals without their top scorer.
Szoboszlai shouldn’t be underestimated against City and will likely thrive in this kind of a match and coupled with his pace and ability in the centre of the pitch he should provide an assist in what should be another game with a few goals about.
Alvarez would be many team’s first choice striker and despite having Haaland, Pep Guardiola has made sure to keep the Argentinian in the starting lineup alongside the Norwegian due to his goal scoring ability.
The World Cup winner scored four in the 2022 tournament and has already scored four and assisted four in the league alone for City this season in just 12 appearances.
Along with three goals in three Champions League appearances, he looks a constant threat in front of goal and should be fed a few chances against the Reds who have struggled to stop opposition scoring as many as they have previously.
