The best TV Black Friday deals today (50-inches and under)

Insignia 24-inch Class F20 Fire TV

This Insignia TV is as basic as a TV gets, but it’s dirt cheap at just $65 right now. That matches the lowest price we’ve seen. If you’re looking for a small, compact TV that you can put in a kitchen or dorm, you’re not likely to find a more inexpensive option out there.

Amazon 32-inch Fire TV 2-Series

This 720p Fire TV set comes with an Alexa voice remote to navigate Amazon’s smart software effortlessly. This model is nearly as low as it’s ever been.

Amazon 43-inch Omni Series 4K Fire TV The Omni Series

The Omni Series isn’t the best when it comes to picture quality but boasts handy smart TV features like hands-free Alexa support and video calling (camera sold separately), along with the latest Fire TV software. The 43-inch model is $120 off right now, which is the lowest price we’ve seen since Prime Day over the summer.

LG 48-inch Class A2 Series 4K OLED Smart TV

LG’s 48-inch Class A2 Series TV is well over 50% off right now. If you’ve got a smaller space and don’t need a large screen, this deal is tough to beat for a 4K OLED TV with superb graphics and sound. It’s not a great option for gaming, though, with only a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Sony 50-inch X85K Google TV

The Sony X85K is a solid midrange 4K TV for gaming that offers a native 120Hz refresh rate for proper pairing with PlayStation 5. The 50-inch model is down to a new all-time low at Amazon right now.

The best TV Black Friday deals today (55-inches)

TCL Q5 55-inch Google TV

This 55-inch Q-Class TCL model is named so for its QLED panel, which offers great color performance in a set this cheap. It lacks local dimming and true 120Hz support, but otherwise boasts all the trappings needed for modern gaming and home cinemas thanks to advanced features like VRR, Dolby Vision, and DTS Virtual:X audio.

Samsung 55-inch 4K QLED Frame TV

Samsung’s The Frame QLED has a matte display and thin build that makes it look more like a piece of art hanging on your wall than a TV. We’ve rarely seen the price dip below $1,200, and it’s usually closer to $1,500, so now is a great time to buy if you’ve been considering this model.

LG C3 55-inch OLED TV

The C3 is LG’s latest midrange OLED TV, which comes with its newest Evo panel for improved brightness and the latest AI-powered picture enhancements. The 55-inch panel is down to $1,297 at Amazon, which is a great price for an OLED of this caliber.

Amazon 55-inch Omni Series 4K Fire TV

The Omni Series doesn’t boast the best picture quality but offers handy smart TV features like hands-free Alexa support and video calling (camera sold separately), along with the latest Fire TV software. This is the lowest price we’ve seen since last year.

TCL 55-inch Q7 4K QLED TV

The Q7 is one of the best midrange QLED 4K TVs you can buy. It offers higher contrast and brightness than similarly priced competitors. Right now, the 55-inch model is at an all-time low price.

Samsung 55-inch QN95B QLED TV

Samsung’s QLED sets are some of the best out there. This model has a Mini LED backlight to help it get super bright while maintaining precise contrast control. This 55-inch model is woefully pricey at MSRP but much more reasonable with this substantial price cut.

The best TV Black Friday deals today (65-inches)

TCL QM8 65-inch QLED 4K TV

TCL’s new high-end QLED TV for 2023 uses Mini LEDs for improved contrast and brightness. It also offers advanced movie and game performance with Dolby Vision, Atmos, and 120Hz refresh rate for a reasonable price.

Samsung S90C 65-inch 4K OLED TV

The S90C is our pick for the best TV you can buy right now. It delivers premium 4K image quality with top-of-the-line contrast and quantum dot color for less than similar OLEDs from LG and Sony. Right now, it’s down to the lowest price we’ve seen so far.

Hisense 65-inch U6K QLED 4K TV

Hisense’s U6K is one of the best budget TVs you can buy. The 4K display boasts quantum dots, local dimming, and a Mini LED backlight to deliver better contrast and color performance than most competitors in its price range. This is the lowest price yet and an absolute steal for a TV like this.

LG 65-inch B3 OLED 4K TV

The B3 is LG’s entry-level OLED for 2023. It’s not as bright as more expensive models, but it delivers the same infinite contrast ratio for a more budget-friendly price. This deal price makes it one of the cheapest 65-inch OLEDs you can buy.

Samsung 65-Inch QN90C Neo QLED 4K TV

This 65-inch Samsung TV is one of the best QLEDs you can get, and its super-bright picture is an especially great fit for living rooms that let in a lot of light. It’s over a thousand dollars off right now, which is easily its lowest price ever.

Sony 65-inch A95L OLED 4K TV

Sony’s A95L is the best high-end TV you can buy. Though pricey, its QD-OLED panel deliver the most impressive picture quality we’ve seen. This isn’t a huge discount, but it’s the lowest price this model has dropped to so far.

TCL 65-inch S4 Series Fire TV

The TCL S4 series is a solid entry-level 4K HDR TV with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos compatibility, as well as the Alexa-capable Fire OS baked in. This is a common sale price that we’ve seen a lot since September, but it’s still a great deal.

Samsung 65-inch S95C 4K OLED TV

The S95C is Samsung’s flagship OLED TV for 2023. It delivers a brighter picture than last year’s model, along with a higher refresh rate and a sleeker design. Though expensive at full price, this new all-time low deal price brings this high-end set down to midrange OLED pricing.

Hisense 65-inch U8K QLED TV

The U8K uses Hisense’s latest QLED panel with a Mini LED backlight for excellent contrast. This Google TV supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate, making it a fine gaming choice. At this price, the 65-inch model has never been more affordable and you’d be hard pressed to find a cheaper TV that can match its performance.

Sony 65-inch A80L OLED TV

The Sony A80L can’t get as bright as other similarly priced OLEDs, but it is an excellent choice for gaming, complete with HDMI 2.1 and exclusive features to make the most of your PS5. This is the best deal price so far.

Sony 65-inch X90K 4K TV

Sony’s 2022 midrange LCD TV is a solid pick for buyers who want a good all-around 4K display. It has local dimming for improved contrast, along with wide color capabilities and support for the Google TV streaming platform. Though not the best price we’ve seen, this is the lowest this model had dipped to since the summer.

The best TV Black Friday deals today (75-inches and up)

Amazon 75-inch Fire TV Omni QLED

Amazon’s best 4K panel stretches out to 75 inches. Omni QLED promises a brighter picture with better colors and contrast. It’s 20% off right now, bringing its price well under $1,000.

Samsung 85-Inch The Frame QLED TV (2022)

Samsung’s 85-inch Frame TV may be the next large TV for you, and it has a sharp 4K QLED screen encased in a classy frame to make it look like a work of art. This is the lowest price we’ve seen this model go for and an incredible deal for such a large size.

TCL 98-inch S5 4K TV

This huge TCL 4K TV is down to its lowest price yet. It lacks local dimming and quantum dots, but this is still a great price for any one who wants a giant 98-inch TV.

TV Black Friday FAQs

What kind of TV should I buy?

There are many types of displays and brands to choose from when shopping for a new TV. What specific model you should go with really depends on your budget and priorities.

If you’re just someone who wants a cheap TV for casual viewing, you really can’t go wrong with any of the entry-level models we recommend from trusted brands. Just find a deal above that matches the size and price you’re looking for. You can often find small HDTVs for as little as $100, and decent 4K TVs starting at around $300 depending on size.

However, if you prioritize image quality you should be more discerning about the type of TV you choose. For the best picture performance, we recommend 4K TVs with an OLED screen, or a QLED panel that has a feature called local dimming. These technologies enable the highest contrast and most vivid colors for a beautiful HDR images. Serious gamers should also make sure to choose a TV that has a native 120Hz (or higher) screen with variable refresh rate (VRR) capabilities to fully support advanced features on Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles.

Good midrange QLED TVs typically start at around $700 for a 65-inch model, and high-end options are about $1,800. Meanwhile, 65-inch OLEDs with midrange performance usually cost between $1,300 and $1,700, and high-end OLEDs can cost as much as $3,500.

What size TV should I get?

When choosing what size TV to buy, you should consider the room it’s going in, the TV’s resolution, how close you want to sit to it, and how much you want to spend. For the most part, bigger screen sizes cost more than similar models in smaller sizes, and you’ll need to have a TV stand or wall that are big enough to accommodate whatever size you get. Certain screen resolutions are also best suited for certain sizes.

For example, HDTVs are decent at sizes of about 43 inches or smaller. At that size, you’d be hard pressed to see the extra detail that a higher resolution would provide unless you sit really close to the screen. If you want a 4K TV, we recommend getting a screen that’s 50 inches or larger, since that size will show off the benefits of Ultra HD resolution. Finally, 8K TVs are best appreciated on extra-large displays that are 75 inches or bigger, but even then, a 4K screen should suffice for most people.

Most brands use 65 inches as the flagship size to highlight their top TV models, and we think 65 inches offers an ideal balance between a big-screen experience and price, while still being manageable enough to fit in most living rooms. Be sure to visit out guide to the best 65-inch TVs to see see our top recommendations.

What’s the difference between QLED and OLED TVs?

If you’re shopping for a midrange or high-end TV, chances are you’ll be choosing between an OLED or QLED display. And each type has its own pros and cons.

OLEDs use self-illuminating screens, which means that they dim and brighten on a pixel level to produce an infinite contrast ratio. With the lights off, black levels truly look black. This makes OLED TVs the perfect fit for people who want the best picture performance in a dark home theater. And though standard OLEDs have brightness limitations compared to QLED TVs, new “QD-OLED” panels with quantum dots are capable of higher brightness levels.

Meanwhile, QLED TVs are a type of LED display that still use LCD panel technology and require a backlight to illuminate the pixels you see on screen. QLED backlights can have multiple zones to brighten or dim specific areas, but even the most expensive QLED TVs can’t match an OLED’s pixel-level contrast. QLED TV backlights can cause an uneven look in dark scenes which leads to halos around bright objects, or faded black levels that look gray.

But while we generally prefer OLED TVs over QLEDs, QLED TVs have an edge with max brightness. Top QLED TVs can get brighter than even the best OLED TVs. This makes QLEDs a better fit people who like to watch TV during the day in bright rooms. QLED TVs also tend to be less expensive than OLEDs and they present no risk for burn-in.
