BOYNEXTDOOR’s Riwoo will not be attending KBS’s 2023 Music Bank Global Festival with the rest of his group.
On December 7, KOZ Entertainment announced that due to “issues with his passport and visa, Riwoo is unable to enter Japan.” As a result, the idol will be sitting out the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan, where BOYNEXTDOOR is scheduled to perform on December 9.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is KOZ Entertainment.
We are informing you that BOYNEXTDOOR member Riwoo will not be attending the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival scheduled to take place in Japan on December 9.
Due to personal issues with his passport and visa, Riwoo is unable to enter Japan, and so he will not be able to fulfill his schedule [in the country]. We tried to solve the problem through many different methods, but because it was difficult to resolve the issue before the concert, he is currently unable to enter the country.
Therefore, we are letting you know that Riwoo will unavoidably be unable to attend the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival.
We sincerely apologize to the fans who must have been waiting [to see Riwoo], and we will take care to prevent this kind of situation from reoccurring for future scheduled activities abroad.
We ask for fans’ generous understanding.

While the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan will be filmed on December 9, the year-end show will air on December 15 together with the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival in Korea (which will air live starting at 8:30 p.m. KST). You can check out the full lineup for both shows here.
