1. Limit salt
Excess sodium levels in the body can increase calcium buildup in urine. Do not add salt to food, and look out for labels on processed foods to know the quantity of sodium they contain. Fast food may be rich in sodium, but regular restaurant food can also be like that. If you can, ask them that salt should not be added to whatever you order on a menu. Additionally, be careful of what you drink. Some vegetable juices are rich in sodium.
2. Reduce your animal protein intake: Various sources of protein like red meat, pork, chicken, poultry, and eggs, increase the quantity of uric acid you produce. Consuming a large quantity of protein also decreases a chemical in urine known as citrate. The function of citrate is to avoid the development of kidney stones.
3. Be mindful of oxalates: You should consume oxalates wisely. Foods that are in oxalates chemical may reduce the development of kidney stones. If you have already experienced kidney stones, you may wish to decrease or eliminate oxalates from your diet entirely. If you’re trying to prevent kidney stones, consult your doctor to know if reducing these foods is enough. If you usually eat foods containing oxalates, try to make sure to take or drink a calcium source with them. This will assist the oxalate to align with the calcium during digestion before it can get to your kidneys. Foods high in oxalate include chocolate, beets, nuts, tea, rhubarb, spinach, swiss chard, and sweet potatoes.
4. Don’t drink colas

Do not consume cola drinks. Cola is rich in phosphate, another chemical that can increase the formation of kidney stones.
5. Reduce or eliminate added sugar consumption: Added sugars are sugars and syrups that are added to processed foods and drinks. Keep an eye on the quantity of sugar you consume, in processed foods like cake, fruit, soft drinks, and juices. Other popular added sugar names include corn syrup, crystallized fructose, honey, agave nectar, brown rice syrup, and cane sugar.
