Al Rajhi Company for Cooperative Insurance (Al Rajhi Takaful) received on Nov. 26, a letter from Al Rajhi Insurance Co. Ltd. Bahrain indicating that 10.6 million shares, or a stake of 26.5%, were transferred to the investment portfolios of shareholders pro rata, according to a statement to Tadawul.
Accordingly, Al Rajhi Takaful major shareholders’ list will be changed, the statement added.
The Bahraini company, which was established in 1990 with SAR 9.95 million capital, was 51% owned by Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi and 49%-owned by Sultan Abdullah Al Rajhi.
