Prince Turki Bin Talal, Governor of Aseer Region and Chairman of Aseer Development Authority (ASDA), launched today, Dec. 20, the Second Industrial City in Aseer on an area estimated at 17.3 million square meters (sqm). The city was launched to meet growing demand for industrial investment in the region, the state-run SPA reported.
Prince Turki Bin Talal thanked the Saudi leadership on the launch of the Second Industrial City in Aseer and development plans across the Kingdom, particularly in Aseer. He also praised the future trends of industrial development, given that it is a key pillar of the Kingdom’s non-oil gross domestic product (GDP).
The Second Industrial City in Aseer was established under strategic partnership with ASDA as a strategic enabler for the region development, along with other mega projects such as Soudah Peaks, Ardara, and the new international airport.
