BBL: 10 Nigerian Celebrities Aunty Ramota Wants to Look Like
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Small-sized Yoruba actress, Ramota Adetu, popularly known as Aunty Ramota was seen in a viral video where she reportedly underwent liposuction or Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.

The incident happened in a modest Ikorodu hospital in Lagos, where Aunty Ramota, driven by the desire to transform her appearance, underwent the controversial surgery. The aftermath was nothing short of alarming—a viral video depicted the actress attached to an oxygen mask, motionless on a hospital stretcher, sparking widespread concern among her fans and the public alike.

According to Tosin Silverdam, a popular Nigerian celebrity blogger who first broke the news, the surgery’s complications were severe enough to induce a coma, a state from which everyone hoped she would soon recover.

There were speculations that Aunty Ramota could have been intimated by some Nigerian celebrities who have done BBL in the past. Here are some celebrities that might have influenced her decisions.

Toke Makinwa

Toke Makinwa was one of the first women in the region to embrace a complete body transformation through cosmetic surgery. Her decision followed a major health treatment for fibroids, inspiring her to enhance her figure to feel more confident in her clothing. Makinwa, who has openly discussed her body modifications on her vlog ‘Toke Moments,’ attributes her fuller lips to her ambitions of launching a lipstick brand and expresses no regrets over her body enhancements, cherishing her new curvaceous silhouette.

Nengi Hampson

Reality TV sensation Nengi Hampson is another celebrity who chose liposuction to boost her self-esteem. After her stint on Big Brother Naija, Nengi spoke candidly about her decision, citing a long-standing discomfort with her body shape as her motivation. Opting for surgery wasn’t just about aesthetics for Nengi; it was about conquering her insecurities. She mentioned the pressure of always wearing a waist trainer and how surgery offered her a more lasting solution to feel comfortable in her own skin.

Tonto Dikeh

Nollywood’s Tonto Dikeh stirred the internet when she shared her post-surgery experience online. In an interview with BBC Pidgin, she revealed that her enhanced posterior not only boosted her confidence but also made her clothes fit better. Tonto views her surgery as a personal victory over body insecurities, emphasizing that the procedure was for her own satisfaction rather than to please others.

Mercy Eke

Mercy Eke, has also been open about her cosmetic surgery journey. She views her decision as an empowerment choice, helping her feel more confident and assertive. Mercy’s transformation is celebrated on her social platforms where she often discusses the positive impact of her decision on her life and career.

Koko by Khloe

Khloe, known from her time on Big Brother Naija, underwent a BBL to address her dissatisfaction with her physical appearance. Despite the glamorous results, Khloe shared the harsh realities of the procedure on ‘Tea with Tay,’ where she described the process as excruciatingly painful. She candidly admitted that no amount of money could convince her to undergo such pain again, highlighting the physical toll these surgeries can exact on the body.

Blessing Okoro (Blessing CEO)

A profound transformation in the beauty landscape was shared by Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO. Investing over N3 million, she opted for liposuction and a BBL in a Lekki-based clinic. Open about her journey, Blessing chose to document her procedure to take control of her narrative, anticipating possible leaks from others present during her surgery. Her transparency on the “Frankly Speaking” podcast reflects a shift towards embracing and openly discussing body modifications.

Lily Afegbai

Known for her enviable figure, Nollywood actress and producer Lily Afegbai has often sparked curiosity among her fans regarding her stance on cosmetic surgery. Despite previously questioning the need for such procedures, Lily expressed a brief consideration for breast enhancement, motivated by personal desire rather than societal pressure. Ultimately, she embraced self-love, deciding against surgery and advocating for body positivity and acceptance as she shared on her Instagram and in interviews.

Ini Edo

Ini Edo also joined the list of celebrities who opted for body enhancement to align with her vision of herself in the spotlight. Over the years, noticeable changes in her physique have sparked discussions, with many speculating about cosmetic interventions. Ini Edo’s transformation is often viewed as a blend of personal and professional reinvention, showcasing the nuanced decisions public figures make regarding their bodies.

Destiny Etiko

Destiny Etiko’s evolution in the film industry has been as much about her acting as it has been about her changing contours. From a more modest figure in her early days to a significantly curvier silhouette, Destiny has been open about her body’s transformation. This change has not only influenced her social media presence but also how she is perceived in the industry, with many fans celebrating her new look as an enhancement of both her confidence and her career.

Nancy Isime

Actress and media personality Nancy Isime has often been rumored to have undergone cosmetic surgery. However, Nancy attributes her toned and sculpted physique to rigorous workouts rather than surgical interventions. Whether through natural means or enhancements, Nancy’s figure remains a topic of admiration and speculation, illustrating the diverse ways celebrities maintain their image in the limelight.
