Bitcoin has surged past the $60,000 mark following news that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt. The cryptocurrency is currently trading at $62,186, with a market cap of $1.224 trillion, marking a 4.67% increase in the past 24 hours. During the early Asian trading hours, Bitcoin climbed by 2.28%, achieving its fourth consecutive green candle and challenging the 50-day EMA.
With $44.50 Million worth of short positions on Bitcoin liquidating in the past 24 hours over all the exchanges.
