“We, at FHA, decided that before we embark on any project in a state, we must visit the state and consult with the government. This is also to ensure that we do not impose our designs on any state; rather, we build according to the peculiar needs of each state,” Ojo stated.
He further explained that the housing units would be tailored to accommodate the financial capabilities of low-income residents, resembling models seen in more developed nations. Additionally, Ojo mentioned the possibility of providing unfinished structures, allowing occupants to customize the interiors according to their preferences and budgets.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his appreciation to the FHA for selecting Ondo State as an early participant in the housing scheme. He commended Ojo and his team for their proactive approach in engaging with host states before commencing projects, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing critical issues like housing deficit.
