Asian healthcare private equity investor CBC Group has appointed Andrew Dempsey as its global head of investor relations, according to an announcement.
Dempsey will oversee the firm’s global investor relations activities across capital formation, distribution and client services from New York. He will report to CBC Group’s CEO, Fu Wei, who is based in the company’s Singapore headquarters.
Prior to CBC Group, Dempsey served at Marblegate Asset Management as its managing director in capital formation and business development. He also held various senior roles across many investment firms such as Balbec Capital, Easterly Asset Management and Fortress Investment Group.
Earlier this month, CBC Group appointed Billy Cho as its new senior managing director of private equity and co-head of joint value creation.
The ex-investment banker will provide guidance on the firm’s private equity investments and its portfolio management activities as part of the joint value creation team, based in Hong Kong.
CBC Group manages assets of over $7 billion. It primarily focuses on buyouts, private credit, venture, and real estate strategies across the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, and healthcare services sectors. It has over 150 employees across 12 locations globally, including Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, and Singapore.
