Chemicals exports dip 13% in March, imports up 1%

Saudi Arabia’s exports of chemical industry and related products dropped 13% year-on-year (YoY) to nearly SAR 6.54 billion in March.

Compared to February, the chemicals exports grew by 19%, or SAR 1.02billion, or 3%.

The exports of chemical industry and related products represented 28% of March’sSAR 23.3 billion non-oil exports, as shown in the following table:

China topped the list of chemical product importers from Saudi Arabia with nearly SAR 812.4 million, accounting for 12.4% of the total exports of chemical products in March. India and the UAE followed with 10.6% and 9%, respectively, as shown in the table below:

Chemicals imports jumped 13%, or SAR 772.8 million compared to February, accounting for 10% of the total imports of SAR 67.36 billion, , as shown in the following table:
