A recent Coinbase survey shows that 56% of Fortune 500 executives are testing on-chain projects. According to the report, blockchain projects announced by Fortune 100 companies increased by 39% year-on-year, hitting an all-time high in Q1 2024. Major drivers of this trend were spot Bitcoin ETFs, tokenization, and stablecoins. The approval of spot BTC ETFs has driven increased institutional crypto investment in the US, which has also sparked movements for spot ETH ETFs. Stripe and Paypal have also gradually delved into stablecoins, increasing global and institutional adoption.
