An 18-month-old boy lost his life after being attacked by a group of stray dogs in Hyderabad’s Jawahar Nagar on Tuesday. The tragic incident occurred when the toddler stepped out of his home, according to police reports on Wednesday. He was quickly taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to a government hospital. Despite the medical team’s efforts, the boy succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.
Child was Dragged by Stray dogs
The child, who had recently moved to Jawahar Nagar with his family from Siddipet district, was reportedly dragged away from his home by one of the dogs. Several other strays then joined in, causing severe injuries to the boy.
The child’s parents lodged a complaint, prompting the Jawahar Nagar police to register a case. The police are investigating the circumstances leading to the attack and the presence of stray dogs in the area.
This incident has raised concerns about the stray dog menace in residential areas and the need for better animal control measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.

The boy was playing outside his home when four stray dogs began chasing and tried to attack him. Seeing the imminent danger, the father immediately chased the dogs away and safely reached his son. The rescue was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media.

In April, two stray dogs mauled a two-and-a-half-year-old girl named Deepali while she was playing with her sister outside a construction site in Hyderabad’s Gayatri Nagar. The girl’s parents were working at the site when the incident occurred. Deepali was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries that night, police reported.
Her elder sister was unharmed as locals managed to scare away the dogs. The family, originally from Chhattisgarh, had relocated to Hyderabad five months ago seeking better opportunities. Both parents work as daily wagers.
