The Ministry of Investment issued nearly 3,157 licenses in the first quarter of 2024, a rise of 93% year-on-year (YoY), after excluding the licenses issued under the National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program (Tasattur).
Compared Q4 2023, the number of investment licenses increased 9% from around 2,884.
The total number of new investment licenses reached 3,197 for the same period.

According to the report, the building and construction activity topped the new investment licenses during Q1 2024, with 864 licenses, followed by manufacturing activity with 620 licenses.
