More boost for Eko Atlantic as Tetramanor begins work on 30-floor tower

The Eko Atlantic City in Lagos recently received a major boost as Tetramanor Limited, a real estate development company, started construction work on its new project that promises to deliver a 30-floor residential building in that upscale neighbourhood.

This will not only provide residential but also investment opportunities for Lagosians in particular and Nigerians at large, thereby contributing to the well over 200 homes expected in that city on completion.

According to its promoters, the ambitious project, known as TM High Gardens, consisting of 82 luxury units, promises almost all house types, including one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, and four, and five bedrooms in maisonette and penthouses respectively.

TM High Gardens is located in the Harbour Lights District of the City, giving it views of the Marina, port and waterways. It promises amenities such as high-speed elevators, office space, 24-hour security, CCTV/backup power transformer, bar and lounge, gym/salon, super-fast Fibre optics connectivity, elevated pool and garden/playground, and others.

Chibuike Ikpa, the project engineer, disclosed that the project has a four-year completion timeline, estimating that it will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027.

He said that the pilling work was expected to cover three months which is expected for a solid foundation for a project of such magnitude, assuring that all would-be subscribers would be given value for their investment.

Wael Mansour, the lead contractor for the project, said the project will boast condominiums and penthouses with standard facilities and amenities; and two underground basements that will act as parking floors. He stressed that the project would offer entertainment areas.

Mansour said the project would also provide a mini-village, which would be self-sustaining and would be 125 metres high. “It is a state-of-the-art building in terms of design, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical standards.

There will be safety and hazard codes included in the buildup components and as required in Eko Atlantic. It will be a face value for the city, ” he said.

Mansour, who doubles as the director, Almansour Engineering & Contracting Limited (ALM), said about 144 piles 30 meters long each and one-metre diameter are planned for the project.

“This will sustain the building in terms of wind factor in the Lagos area, which is large. We have taken all the measurements and studies in terms of geotechnical engineering and carried out a lot of tests including soil tests. The quality of construction will be of the highest and non-negotiable standard of concrete strength whether it is underground or over-ground,” he assured.

Continuing, he said, “The steel reinforcement and concrete are tested in intervals. We will deploy post-tension technology used mostly in high-rise towers with multinational companies giving us guarantee and warranty for the products and designs. The high level of construction will not be compromised by any factor or regulations.”
