Gloria Akpaku and her kept man Akpoveta School in their last pillow talk promised him N100,000. But things changed when School overreached himself, threatening to reveal their relationship to the sugar mummy’s son.
According to Delta Police Command, Gloria dared him to go ahead.
And School did—by stabbing her three times in the back, neck, and stomach.
“When asked why he did, he said ‘NA DEVIL WORK’ ” said Bright Edafe, the state’s police spokesperson, in a tweet.
“I share stories like this so we can learn from the mistakes of others.”
The last time a hustling man killed his rich lover in a case of gender and domestic violence was November.
Chidubem Osuagwu, 22, killed Amarachi Chukwu, 32, in her home, and attempted to steal her car at Meniru, Enugu South.
She actually died as a result of her resistance to the robbery.
“They tied her hands, legs and mouth with clothes; locked her inside of the house and made away with the car,” the state’s police authorities said.
The pattern followed an earlier case in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). A 31-year-old man murdered his lover, 48, and stole her car and other valuables.
The Federal Ministry Women of Affairs, Mr Sunday said Nigeria recorded 27,698 cases of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence between 2020 and 2023.
