His team echoed this sentiment, labelling the arrest rumors as “fake and baseless” in the video’s caption.
The false reports suggested that Khan had been detained due to a defamation complaint filed by his former manager, Salman Ahmed. According to the rumors, the dispute arose after Khan allegedly terminated Ahmed’s services a few months ago.
Khan, who is celebrated for his contributions to both Pakistani and Indian music, emphasised his gratitude towards his fans, saying, “You are my power. My audience and fans are my power. After God, my fans are my power.”
Earlier this year, Khan made headlines when a video surfaced showing him hitting a man with shoes in an altercation. The incident occurred when Khan requested a bottle from the man, who claimed ignorance. Khan’s reaction, including the verbal threat “Main tujhe marunga” (“I will beat you”), led to him slapping the individual.
Later, Khan clarified the situation in a follow-up video, revealing that the bottle contained holy water and that the man was his student and not a stranger.
Khan, the nephew of the legendary Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, has also been recognised for his contributions to Hindi cinema.
