Road planer attachment from FAE fits on 5-ton excavators

FAE’s newest road planer attachment is designed for use on a smaller class of excavators than its previous products. The RPL/HY attachment is designed for use on 5- to 8-ton excavators, using cold planer technology for road repair and replacement.

Like the larger RPL/EX attachment for 8- to 14-ton excavators, the RPL/HY uses a rapidly spinning rotor fitted with special teeth to cut asphalt or concrete road surface and prepare it for resurfacing. Milling depth can be adjusted easily, to a maximum of 4.5 inches. Working width of the unit is 12 inches.

The RPL/HY has a self-leveling system to ensure that the head is correctly aligned during operation and uses a radial piston motor for maximum performance.
