The aggregate sales of 17 Saudi cement producers dropped by 15% to 3.7 million tons in June, from 4.4 million tons a year earlier, according to recent data issued by Yamama Cement Co.

Locally, 13 market players reported a drop in sales, dragged by Umm Al-Qura Cement Co. with a 54% year-on-year (YoY) decline. It was followed by Hail Cement Co. (-38% YoY).
On the other hand, four cement producers reported better sales, topped by United Cement Co. with a rise of 10% YoY. Yamama Cement took the second place with an 8% YoY growth.
